Marriage’s flour has been milled in Essex since 1824. It is said that the Marriage family had been farmers and millers since the seventeenth century. Today, the fifth and sixth generations of the family continue the milling tradition and create a wide range of flours, including bread flours, organic flours, culinary flour and speciality flours. Maria Koinaki grew up picking olives at her family’s olive trees in Crete and, after the harvest, she would her dad take them to the local olive mill to create delicious olive oil. When she moved to the UK, she started longing for the fresh flavours that she had grown up with. To turn her father’s olive oil into a brand and to share this delicious product, Maria launched Olive Branch in 2011.

English friends, Ian and Wendy wanted to introduce a Swedish-inspired bakery to the UK.
