Tim and Sarah Hopcroft had a successful bakery business that was based at The Bread Bin, Market Drayton back in 1987. They had the idea of making and decorating gingerbread shaped cookies an all-year-round treat. After weeks of training to find the perfect recipe, they finally created the one and the gingerbread range was born.
The delicious treats started being sold in their bakery, but after a huge order from a buyer that wanted 700 gingerbread farmyard animal-shaped biscuits, the business started to think about the future. They started to present it in a clear bag with a ribbon finish to clearly display these biscuits in their shop. After selling as much as that large order within three weeks, they realised the market potential of these biscuits.
After this success, the company was encouraged to start selling their products to visitor outlets and then through local distributors. Gradually, the company started to become better known and more experienced, which then lead to them start selling their biscuits to big outlets.
Today, Image on Food is a leading manufacturer of gingerbread novelties. They are constantly working on developing new products to bring out to the market and they also distribute their products worldwide. As a mission, they want to always work alongside the customer to create unique biscuits.
